I could not believe my eyes when I saw thins. This makes no sense at all. Is this is genuine mistake or Verizon is asking its customers not to buy Samsung Gear S.
Verizon is one of the last carriers to offer Samsung Gear S. But when I checked the product page I was a bit confused. On the product page, Gear S is listed with a $399.99 price tag. This is upfront price. But on contract the price is $349.99 with 2 year contract and then have to pay $55 – $105 per month for a tariff. Usually products are much cheaper on contract.
Other carriers like T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint are offering with a much lesser price. AT&T is selling Gear S with $199 on a two year contract. Sprint $384 without a contract or $16 per month on a two year contract. Similarly T-Mobile is offering the smartwatch for $349 without a contract, or $14.58 over 24 months.
Verizon will start shipping Gear S smartwatch starting from 14th of this month.
