Samsung and Apple are arch rivals and the rivalry goes a step forward when it comes to patents. Both the companies are fighting in different patent claims in different courtrooms across the globe. Is there any immediate solution of this problem? Answer is NO.
From a latest report from Koran news agency it is now clear that why Samsung does not want to settle down all the differences with Apple.
In one stage Samsung was looking to enter a cross-licensing agreement with Apple. But Apple is not in a mood to do that. Apple wants a whopping fee of $30 - $40 per tablet to license with patents. Apart from that Apple also wants $600 million for Samsung’s 20 million Galaxy S4 sale. This is definitely a dual policy of Apple as it charges $5 to HTC for each smartphone.
That is not the end of the story, Apple also wants Samsung to sign a anti-cloning agreement. This will stop Samsung from implementing any Apple related patents on Galaxy devices.
With all these demands Samsung stopped to proceed with any talks with Apple when it comes to patents and cross-licensing agreements.
It is also worth to mention that it is reported that Apple signed agreement with Samsung to obtain iPhone chips in 2015 from the Korean electronics giant.

Samsung was the provider of Apple iPhone chipset from 2007, when the original iPhone came up. Beginning from first generation iPhone till the latest iPhone 5 Samsung was the sole provider of iPhone chips which changed this year when Apple grabbed TSMC as their chip provider of choice for iPhone 6.
Reportedly Apple once again signed contract with Samsung for it’s future generation iPhone expected in 2015. This may be the iPhone 7 which will arrive late 2015. According to local Korean media, Samsung will produce chipsets with 14 nanometer FinFET technology for Apple.
So TSMC will only provide chipsets for only Apple iPhone 6?
There is no official words yet, neither from Samsung or Apple about this deal. It seems like we have to wait a bit to get some concrete information.

There were some report that Samsung’s Tizen OS is already dead and there won’s be any product from Samsung on the new OS. This was first posted by Russian blogger Eldar Murtazin on Twitter. He also wrote that Samsung is gong to abandon the project completely.
But now Samsung come in defense and confirms in an official statement that Tizen development is in fact in progress and there will be products released on the new mobile OS.
Here is the statement in full:
