We all remember that once flip phones used to rule the world and we all know Motorola’s Razr one of the most popular phones of that decade which sold more than 130 million units during the four year run that it had.

Now Samsung is thinking of capitalizing on that same concept and wants to develop flip phone. Even though Samsung’s mobile business is struggling at the moment, the company stated that it has plans to launch its first smartphone with a super flexible display this year.

Now based on a paten t that was filed last April but published earlier in this month by the US Patent and Trademark Office it seems that the company is thinking of launching a smart flip phone.

In the patent we can see that the company is experimenting with a super flexible phone that can be bent inward just like a typical clamshell phone and also bent outward quite a bit.
