Samsung Is Touring 7 Cities in The U.S. To Promote Samsung Pay

android-pay-card-view-note-5Samsung pay was launched a few days back and the user have been surprised how much simpler it is to make transaction with the Samsung pay at the local store or supermarket. But there is one thing that is dragging Samsung pay from greatness. That is lack of awareness in the general public. Now Samsung wants to tackle this situation where apple pay reigns supremacy.

For this exact reason, Samsung is launching a 7 city tour to bring about awareness among people about Samsung pay. Samsung say that the mobile payment system has been a hit among consumers and to celebrate its success, it will tour 7 cities and offer consumers a unique opportunity to buy products at steep discounts in the local stores that Samsung is partnering. This gives an opportunity for the user to try out their Samsung pay enabled phones and at the same time win some amazing prizes if they are so lucky.

“Where better to showcase the most widely-accepted mobile payment service than at merchants and retailers in some of America’s most vibrant and iconic cities,” said Narayanan Murugesan, VP of Strategy and Operations, Samsung Electronics America. “From Austin to Atlanta, from coffee shops to taco stands, Samsung Pay Lets Galaxy owners pay with a wallet that’s already in their hands—on the card terminals retailers already have. It’s simple, safe, and accepted almost anywhere you can swipe or tap your card.”

Samsung pay has the simplest transaction system absent in the rival services.

Samsung is kick starting this tour at the Austin city limits music festival on October 1st.

The tour details are as follows

  • Dallas: October 9th – 11th
  • Atlanta: October 16th – 18th
  • New York: October 23rd – 25th
  • Chicago: October 30th – Nov 1st
  • San Francisco: November 6th – 8th
  • Los Angeles: November 13th – 15th

Samsung pay is compatible with the new note 5, galaxy s6, S6 edge and s6 edge+. These phones will work with the AT&T, T-Mobile and sprint networks.
