Samsung is one company that does not have any intention to lose the smartphone war with apple. The iPhone make gained a crucial edge with its 3d touch display in its latest phones and Samsung is hell bent on getting its own version of 3d touch tech into the oncoming galaxy S7 and its edge sibling.

Synaptic, the laptop trackpad making company announced last week that it has developed its own touch display that can work with any kind of touch phones. It is called as the clearforce tech. Samsung has now tapped into synaptic tech to enable the galaxy S7 to have the crucial third kind of touch, i.e. pressure touch.

Even though apple has introduced the tech, Huawei was the first to announced its MATE S phone that will be able to differentiate between a light touch and a hard press. Apple has incorporated the 3d touch into its phones but clearly the 3d touch is still in the infant stage and I am severely impatient to see what Samsung does with the 3d touch in the galaxy S7.

Many people accused Samsung of copying from apple. I don’t think that is necessarily a bad thing. Even apple copied heavily from the android operating system’s features. The notification bar, battery saving mode and split screen mode are some of them. but even though Samsung borrows from apple and its devices, it has its own twisted take on those features and generally more useful than the iOS counterparts. Take apple pay for example, Samsung introduced the Samsung pay by borrowing from apple. Apple pay only work in fraction of stores across the world and will need a special payment terminal. The Samsung pay theoretically works with any terminal. Literally the possibilities are limitless for it.

The 3d touch that Samsung will incorporate in the galaxy S7 will be an interesting one to see and so are the features that it brings.
