Galaxy S7 vs iPhone 6S

Physical Dimension

The Galaxy S7 measures 142.4 X 69.6 X 7.9 mm (152 G) and the Galaxy S7 Edge measures 150.9 X 72.6 X 7.7 mm (157 G).

The iPhone 6s on the other hand measures 138.3 X 67.1 X 7.1 mm (143 G) and the bigger iPhone 6s Plus measures 158.2 X 77.9 X 7.3 mm (192 G).

Display

When comes to smartphone display, Samsung is king of all. The new Galaxy S7 flagships also prove the same.

The Galaxy S7 edge sports a 5.5” Dual edge Quad HD super AMOLED display (534 PPI) while the Galaxy S7 has a 5.1-inch Quad HD super AMOLED display (577 PPI).

On the other hand iPhone 6s has a 4.7-inch IPS LCD screen (326 PPI) and the iPhone 6s Plus has a 5.5 inch IPS LCD display (401 PPI).

But the biggest new feature which only Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge have is the Always On display feature. You can check important updates without even switching on the phone display.

Processor

The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge now have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. It has 4 cores locked at 2.15 GHz and 4 cores clocked at 1.6 GHz. On the other hand the iPhone has a dual core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz.

The new Samsung flagships have dedicated Mali-T880 GPUs for better graphics performance.

Storage

Samsung brought back the expandable storage in Galaxy S7. You can now use a microSD card as large as 200 GB on you phone.

The iPhone on the other hand does not have this and you have to buy bigger storage phone on premium price.

Camera

The new camera on the Galaxy S7 is awesome. The new camera has a 12 MP sensor and uses bigger pixels for better performance. The lens has a aperture of f/1.7.

Apple iPhone has a great camera too, but not that great as Galaxy S7. The iPhone 6s and 6s plus use f/2.2 lens (Not that great in low light).
