Retailers are clearing the stock to pave the way for the upcoming superphones such as the Galaxy S7, S7 edge and LG G5. As a result of that, the Galaxy S6 edge with 128 GB memory capacity that retailed close to $900 previously is now selling for as little as $460 in the united states.
Sure, the Galaxy S7 edge is on the horizon with all the new features such as the best display in a smartphone (period), bigger battery, waterproofing design and expandable storage. But the Galaxy S6 edge at this price is still a killer deal. Here are two reasons for that.
The first is that the Galaxy S7 edge and the regular S7 will be available in only 32 GB options. That can change anytime but Samsung has informed that they plan to make only the 32 GB model available since the microSD card slot has returned and making other memory capacity models available is no brainer.
The second is that the S6 edge is available in 5.1-inch screen option. Yes, the S6 edge+ has a 5.7 curved screen but the point is that the next generation phone will adopt bigger curved screens that start at a 5.5-inch screen. But if you prefer a smaller screen size and still want a curved screen, well there is no beating the S6 edge at this price.
The downside is that this offer is only available in gold colour option and on eBay.
Samsung has recently updated the phone to the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and brought in few goodies. This phone is also the winner of the “Best Smartphone 2015” at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
