Samsung has announced that it will introduce a new colour for the S7 family taking the entire colour count to 4. The Galaxy S7 is available in gold and onyx black and the Galaxy S7 edge has an additional titanium silver colour but that’s until now. Samsung introduced the fifth colour of pink gold for both the handsets due to popular demand.
When you look at the device, there is no mistake that the colour is very similar to Apple’s rose gold but Samsung is instead calling it pink gold. Analysts have mentioned that the sales of the Galaxy S7 fell drastically last week after a high start and Samsung is trying to reignite the sale engine by adding a new colour option.
Sales of the idevices such as the iPhone 6s, iPhone SE and iPad pro in rose gold have been skyrocketing in china and Samsung wants to cash in on this crazy by introducing its own devices in this colour option.
“Pink Gold was chosen as it, like the other colours available for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, is a natural colour that provides a sense of comfort. These hues glitter and shimmer as if illuminated from inside their glass surfaces.
In particular, the refined, skin tone-inspired Pink Gold colour scheme is intended to soothe and incorporate a touch of gentleness, radiance and sophistication to the smartphones’ design.” Samsung says.
This special colour is available in south Korea today and will soon be available in other regions.
Apple has also released the ultra-thin MacBook in the new rose gold colour yesterday.
