The South Korean technology giant, Samsung has finally released the NX500 firmware update (1.11) for its mirrorless camera that contains some improvements which are related to autofocus. The company states that the autofocus performance has been improved across the board to work during zooming on 6 lenses.
These include the Samsung NX 16-50mm F2.0-2.8 S ED OIS, Samsung 50-150mm F2.8 S, Samsung NX 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 Power Zoom ED OIS, Samsung NX 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 OIS, Samsung NX 12-24mm F4-5.6 ED, Samsung NX 50-200mm F4-5.6 OIS.
Apart from this the update also improves the side face recognition performance along with improved spot light AF speed and performance and even improved object motion estimation performance. The firmware update has now been made available.
And it can be easily downloaded via Wi-Fi on the camera through the website or with Samsung’s iLauncher software. The update will add MP4 Video transmission at Mobile Link along with added capture icon on Playback Exif mode, overall fixed minor bugs and even improved AF/AE performance.
