Just recently Sprint had released the fix for Stagefright for the Samsung devices and it was only a matter of time before the other US carriers followed Sprint.

Sprint was the first carrier to send out this fix for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and just today it released the fix for other Samsung devices as well.

Now AT&T has followed in the footsteps of Sprint as well as it rolled out over the air (OTA) updates for the Galaxy S5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Active and Galaxy Note 4.

The update that AT&T is rolling out doesn’t bring anything other than the device security enhancement which basically ensures that the devices will no longer be harmed by Stagefright.

The Stagefright basically makes the Android devices vulnerable to attack by hackers who can use this vulnerability to gain access to a device. Even Samsung has taken steps to ensure security of its devices after the Stagefright scare.
