Samsung Canada exchanges third-party Note 7 units

Note 7 owners in Canada that purchased their phones for a third-party retailer can now exchange them. Samsung Canada has confirmed that regardless of where you bought your device, whether is off of eBay, flea market or any gray market channel, you can exchange it for a Galaxy S7 or a Galaxy S7 Edge.

The only requirement is that you have the bill of sale in order to get a full refund. If that piece of documentation can’t be provided by the owner, they will not qualify for a full refund. Instead they will be able to exchange it for a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge.

Every owner will be sent a pre-addressed fire resistant box which they will have to use to return the Note 7. Samsung says that all exchange request will be processed within two to four weeks of the agreement being signed.
