It’s no secret that after the Note 7 disaster, Samsung is entirely focusing on the Galaxy S8. Rumors from couple weeks ago hinted that the devices launch will be next year at the MWC. This was true, but Samsung pushed back the launch date in attempt to make the phone better and safer. Also, Samsung still hasn’t determined what caused the Note 7’s battery to explode, so it is only logical to push back the date until that is cleared.

Now, it is rumored that the first batches of Galaxy S8 parts will arrive in January. These will be for the first prototypes, so that the device can be tested top to bottom. After that, bigger orders for internals are set for February, when more refined units will be tested. Finally, if everything goes to according to plan, mass production will start in March if Samsung aims for the April launch.

Meanwhile, other reports are flying with some of the specs of the Galaxy S8. It only confirms the 5.1-inch QHD screen and 90 percent screen-to-body ratio and the iris scanner. On this flagship we will apparently see a dual camera setup with 12MP and 13MP sensors. With this Samsung will join the family of dual camera system phones.
