On multiple US newspapers, on the advertisement sections there was an apology letter from Samsung for the Note 7. This advert was in Monday’s Wall Street Journal, New York Times and Washington Post and is signed by the chief executive of Samsung North America, Gregory Lee.
All in all it is an apology for falling short on the company’s ambitions to offer safety and quality.
“We will re-examine every aspect of the device, including all hardware, software, manufacturing and the overall battery structure. We will move as quickly as possible, but will take the time needed to get the right answers,” Lee wrote on the add.
The text focuses on Note 7 which was expected to be Samsung’s lead device in the phablet category, until a worldwide recall was issued because of the dangerous tendency to overheat and catch fire.
