Samsung’s smartphone empire is crumbling but that isn’t stopping the Korean tech giant from releasing numerous smartphones into the market. It has recently introduced us to the Galaxy A-series. It had 4 smartphones in it, the Galaxy A3, A5, A7 and The A9. Now Samsung seems to be concentrating on the Affordable J-Series of its Galaxy smartphones. The upcoming Galaxy J7 specs leaking online today that is a part of the J-series.
Recently Samsung began selling The Galaxy J1 in Dubai and the same phone was brought into the united states as Galaxy J3. After that, the information about the Galaxy J5 appeared with mid-range specs and a 5.1/5.2-inch screen size. Now it’s bigger brother, the Galaxy J7 reveals itself to the worlds via specs leak on GFXBench website.
The phone will have a 5.5-inch screen with full HD resolution. Powering it is the snapdragon 615 octa-core processor along with the Adreno 405 GPU. The phone comes with 3 GB of ram. that’s ample for a mid-range phone. Memory capacity is at 16 GB out of which 10 GB will be user accessible.
A 12 MP back camera with a 5 MP selfie camera is fitted into the phone.
Naturally Samsung would prefer the cheap plastic design for the J-Series phones and the metal and glass design has been preserved for the S, Note and A-Series of its smartphones. It would have been really interesting if Samsung included a fingerprint reader in the 2016 version of Galaxy J7.
My guess is that Samsung would keep the price of the phone under $350. Anything above that would get the device cannibalized by the Galaxy A7.
