Samsung seems to be in lot of confusion as it killed of the Galaxy S7 edge+ due to unknown reasons. Earlier, it had also cancelled the plus variant of the regular flat screened Galaxy S7. It is true that Samsung is going through a rough phase to change its mind so frequently but is this a dumb move? Well, I don’t think so. Actually this move is one of Samsung’s most brilliant strategy. Here’s how.
By killing of the Galaxy S7 edge+ and the Galaxy S7 plus, Samsung is not only increasing its chances to succeed but also reducing the cost to make these handsets available to the general consumers.
Earlier there were 4 phone that Samsung planned. Each phone will have at least 2 memory capacities and 4 colours. That makes it 4x4x2=32 variants of the Galaxy S7. Stocking all of the 32 variants in each store would be a nightmare for Samsung and also for the retailers as they have to stock up more to sell less numbers of the phones.

Now the two phone that will be available are the regular 5.1-inch Galaxy S7 and the 5.5 inched Galaxy S7 edge. The Galaxy S7 edge+ was rumoured to sport a 5.7 inch or 6.0 inch 4k screen but Samsung thought otherwise.
It is now clear that the Galaxy S6 edge may not have been sold in numbers that Samsung has anticipated. Since Samsung is opting for the Galaxy S7 edge with a 5.5-inch screen (people would normally think the 5.5 inch curved displayed phone as the Galaxy S7 edge+) indicated that the bigger screened version of the edge phone has been quite a hit among the user.
We do not have the hard numbers from Samsung to support our claim but the actions of Samsung are indicating the obvious. Both the phone will have the exact same specs and will launch on march 11th.
