The latest sinister to leak the information about the upcoming Samsung galaxy phones is none other than Samsung. In its own developer website, Samsung has posted news and images about the new features that will be coming to the galaxy s6 edge, s6 edge plus and galaxy s7 edge in form of marshmallow update.
The information on the developer website indicated a new type of tile display on the edge corner of the screen, the displayed information is of narrow style and it can be slided to display a wider tile that shows much more information than previously possible.
This leak was taken down immediately but a Dutch website named as galaxy club managed to take note of all the leaked information. The Galaxy S7 Edge Is proving to be quiet an interesting phone with all its edge centric widgets and some other important features such as the return of the microSD card slot and waterproofing.
These features were present in the galaxy s5 but had to be sacrificed for the beautiful design of galaxy s6. That was totally worth it but people craved for these features. The removal battery will not make an appearance though.
Samsung is bumping the base storage for the phone from 32 GB to 64 GB. This move is intended to attract more buyers from apple who are plagued by 16 GB on the base iPhone model.
64 GB is a generous amount of memory from Samsung and it still is adding a microSD card slot that can support cards up to 128 GB.
Other features include the updated touchwiz that runs on top of android marshmallow. This version of touchwiz is rumoured to be optimised to make the phone run smoother and Samsung is reportedly cutting down heavily on bloatware and other apps that nobody uses.
The unpacked event where The Galaxy S7 and The Galaxy S7 Edge will be shown is scheduled on 21st of Feb. it is also believed that Samsung will introduce a virtual reality camera that will be called as Gear 360.
