the virtual reality toys were built for playing games and watching movies in realistic surroundings but somebody else is using the virtual reality headsets such as gear vr headset for inventing the future of porn industry.
But how did this happen?
First let’s take a look at the porn industry. There is so much free porn out there that despite huge viewership, the adult entertainment companies struggle to generate profits. They have to rely on paltry ad revenues.the porn subscription have died long back.
But virtual reality headsets such as oculus rift and Samsung’s own galaxy Gear VR have helped them capture the lost revenue all the while exciting the viewers to the extreme. Some of the porn companies have been using the 360-degree video camera to capture the sex footage.
Now when the user straps the screen and headphones to his head, he actually feels like having a one-on-one sex with the porn actors.
“It’s the next progression of everything entertainment,” Lee says in a convention hall crowded with porn studios and sex toy companies at the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel, where the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo is taking place. “And, of course, with porn, now you’re with your favourite porn star, sitting in the room with her. She’s looking at you; she’s talking to you.”
“It’s like you can reach out and touch them, that’s how close they are to you,” says Brett Rossi, an ex-fiancée of TV star Charlie Sheen and a long time porn actress who appears in Lee’s new VR videos.
But the problem is that the virtual reality industry is still at a long distance from going mainstream. It won’t be able to stop the online pirates or the porn streamers. But it still offers a glimpse at the future of sex industry. Not only that, it could replace the sex chat. You can now have virtual sex with you partner who is hundreds of mile away by simply strapping a screen in front of your eyes.
“You wear the headset,” said a view of gear VR porn, “and you really feel like you’re really there with the girl, having that fun that you want to have.”
