Samsung Gear A Specifications Leaked


As we all know that Samsung will be releasing its flagship phablets in the upcoming weeks. Due to this reason, Samsung’s upcoming smartwatch hasn’t been able to draw much attention, lately. The upcoming smartwatch may be named as The Orbis or the Gear A.

The Gear A is expected to be announced upon the announcement of the Galaxy Note 5. According to a report, the Gear A smartwatch is still under development, currently. However, Samsung has revealed some of the specifications of the upcoming Gear A smartwatch.

The Gear A smartwatch will be featuring a 1.2GHz dual-core Exynos 3472 processor, paired with a Mali-400 MP4 GPU. The Gear A smartwatch will be equipped with 768MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage. The Gear A smartwatch will be powered by a 250mAh battery.

The smartwatch will also be featuring many types of sensors, including gyro, barometer, heart rate sensors, and accelerometer. Moreover, the watch will also have built-in GPS support, and a Wi-Fi version of the smartwatch will also be released. The watch will be running on the Tizen OS with a modified user experience for circular screen.

The watch will be featuring a Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 360×360; however, the size of the display is yet to be revealed. The Gear A will be the first circular smartwatch by Samsung, thus, the screen size of the display is not confirmed yet. However, the bezel ring will surely penalize the size of the touchscreen of the watch.
