Samsung has confirmed that they will release a new Gear Sport smartwatch at IFA 2017, but they gave no further information about it. Also, we were all focused on the Galaxy Note 8, which was the same they when they confirmed the smartwatch.
We knew that Samsung are working on a new wearable device over the past few weeks. The device also holds the model number SM-R600. It was spotted previously on FCC and besides that, earlier this month it received its own Wi-Fi certification.
From the certification document, we see that the smartwatch will be powered up by the Tizen 3.0 OS. It will actually be the first wearable device to feature such operative system. The smartwatch will also have features like Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi direct, which can be used for data transfer.
Other features and specifications were not surfaced online, nor have been leaked. After all, the IFA 2017 is going to happen very soon, which will take place at Berlin. On the event, we expect that Samsung will reveal all of the details connected to this wearable.
Just to be mentioned, on the image that you can see above, we can see the leaked design for the Gear Sport smartwatch. It suggests that the device will have circular design, which made the Samsung’s smartwatches popular. It also appears to be pretty small, so it maybe won’t find every user appealed. Again, more info and details are yet to be unveiled from Samsung.
