The attack on the Galaxy S7 has begun. Tons of videos have surfaced online abusing the Galaxy S7 in the worst possible manner and this has revealed quite a bit about the handset. Warrant providing company called as SquareTrade has performed some extreme tests on the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge to find out their breaking point. Here is what they found.

First things first, the tests were conducted alongside the iPhone 6s and 6s plus. The end result was that the galaxy S7 duo were more sensitive than the iPhone duo in the real world conditions. Samsung has advertised the phone as water resistant from the launch but the phones have taken some permanent damage in the extreme water test. So did the iPhone.

As Samsung has advertised, the Galaxy S7 was put in the water for 30 minutes at a depth of 5 ft. along with other phones. The S7 duo worked perfectly fine but had its audio system badly damaged. The iPhone 6s plus was totally bricked by the water that seeped into its internals.

Samsung’s official page has mentioned that the phones are water resistant up to 4 ft. and for 30 mins. And the tests revealed that slightly exceeding the rated specification can permanently damage your S7 and S7 edge.

Let that not discourage you because the S7 duo has easily outperformed almost every other phone out there in the water test before succumbing. If you are someone who likes to shower with your phone close by, then the S7 is the best phone that money can buy. Buy if you have butterfingers like me, then you would be better off with the iPhone.

The Galaxy S7 has glass on the front as well as the back. This increases the chances of disfiguring the phone exponentially.

Choose your phone carefully before going in for the kill.
