When Samsung released the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, it was the perfect phones that most of us were waiting. It had top specs, a big and bright display, waterproofing, a fantastic camera and beautiful body. so it should be no surprise that Samsung has managed to sell as many as 25 million units of the phones. the Korean giant has mentioned that within 3 weeks from the launch day of the Galaxy S7, people have gobbled up 10 million units of the phone.

This sales figure has been reported by Daishin securities that have predicted Samsung to have sold as many as 15 million units in the last three months taking the total count to 25 million. The overall sales figures of Samsung phones have increased just 1% when compared to the last quarter but since most of the phones sold in the last quarter are mid-range phones, the current quarter is expected to bring in boatloads of profits for Samsung as the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge retails for $700 and $800 respectively. The average selling price of the Samsung smartphone has increased from $217 to $228 in the current quarter.

The prediction also expects the overall profit to increase from 3.89 trillion Won in Q1 to 4.27 trillion Won in Q2. As a result of that, Samsung share prices have hit a high value of $1230.

But Samsung is in no mood to slow down. The initial excitement for the S7 has died down but it has introduced a range of promotional offers such as a free Gear VR or a 32-inch TV when you buy the handsets.

It is also preparing its high productive device, the Note 7, for the next quarter.
