Apple has officially sent out the invitation for its sept 9th event where it is believed to introduce the new iPhone 6s and 6s plus. The iPhones are important to the tech giant as it pull its two third revenue from the iPhone sales. Apple is also believe to unveil the updates apple TV that has become ancient with no upgrade for a long time.

Now Samsung has been believed to have released the note 5 and the galaxy s6 edge+ a month before than its usual period so as to contain the iPhone excitement and bust the apple bubble. But will it succeed?

The problem arise with the refresh cycle of apple. Usually the “S” upgrade cycle of iPhone doesn’t bring much excitement with it. They offer better upgraded internal without much change in the physical design or the display size. Rumours suggest that the new iPhone will house a force touch display where the user can press the display with little harder than usual to fast forward the video, go to setting instead of toggle etc. the rumours also suggest better camera, same display, upgraded dual core cpu and a slightly thicker body.

These are good but not very exciting. But on the Samsung part, it has recently released the new note 5 and the galaxy s6 edge+ that bring in exciting hardware refreshes and new design to the table. The fact that Samsung released their phones just before the iPhone show that the Korean tech company isn’t scared to take apple head-on. They believe in their devices. On my part, Samsung has done excellent work on their devices and their sales momentum will continue despite the launch of the new iPhone which are just around the corner.
