Verizon is finally pushing out the Android 5.1.1 update to the Galaxy Note 4 today. The update will be available only through Kies at the moment.
Moreover according to the users that are receiving the update the build is still Android 5.0.1 and there seems to be no notable changes.
The Kies version of the update is 2GB in size which means it’s quite large. However you need to keep in mind that Kies downloads the entire firmware and so you will get a large file no matter how big the actual update is.
Verizon hasn’t even posted a changelog yet but that is said to change when the over-the-air (OTA) version of the update will start to roll out to the devices.
All you need to do is head over to Settings from where you will go to about device and then software updates menu. Here you will hit the check now button and if you don’t want to download the huge Kies file wait till you get a notification for the OTA version.
