In the past few weeks, we reported that Samsung will be releasing a mid-range smartphone, named as Galaxy A8, which is going to be the slimmest smartphone to be released on an International scale. Previously, a hands-on video and some images of the Galaxy A8 had surfaced along with the price tag of the device in the Chinese market.
Recently, we have received a word from Malaysia that the price of the Galaxy A8 in the Malaysian market has also surfaced, along with confirmed specifications. According to the report, the phone has been certified by SIRIM Malaysia, and is rumored to be hitting the market very soon.
Additionally, the expected price of the Galaxy A8 is going to be RM 1,888, which is approximately equal to 500USD. A poster showing off the specifications of the Galaxy A8 was also revealed by our source, which is somewhat blurry. However, the poster points to the same specs which we have been reporting earlier.
According to this poster and our previous reports, the Galaxy A8 will be featuring a 5.7” Full HD Super AMOLED display at a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. Additionally, it will be featuring an Octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz, 32GB of Internal storage, 2GB of RAM, and an exceptional 16MP ISOCELL rear camera, paired with 5MP front camera. The Galaxy A8 will be hitting the market with Android 5.1 on board.
Thus, we can conclude that Samsung has priced this phone appropriately at RM 1,888, considering its specifications and features.
