Samsung today announced Galaxy A8 in China, its slimmest Android smartphone till now. The phone sports many of the high-end features and comes in a sleek aluminium premium design.

Samsung Galaxy A8 was in rumors for quite some time and we already posted various leaks and stories about the phone. Along with a great stylish design, the phone sports some great hardware specification as well. It features a 5.7 inch full HD Super AMOLED display, 64 bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor with 2 GB of RAM (Enough for all your high multi-tasking needs), 16 GB of internal storage (Unlike Galaxy S6 it has microSD card support up to 128 GB), 16 mega-pixel rear camera and 5 megapixel front camera (great for selfies). Along with that, the phone also has 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and comes with a massive 3050 mAH battery (sweet).

Though it sounds impossible, Galaxy A8 included fingerprint scanner, one of the first for a mid-range phone. The phone comes with the latest Android 5.1.1 preloaded. Samsung managed to pack Galaxy A8 in a 5.9 mm metallic bezel-free body, which weighs just 151 grams.

Though Samsung Galaxy A8 is not up for pre-order in China, we have no idea when Samsung will release the phone in other countries. But, from recent other leaks we are pretty sure the phone will hit other markets.

Samsung Galaxy A8 is available in white, black and gold colors and will cost around $490.
