Well if keep in mind the usual launch dates of the Samsung Galaxy Note series then the Galaxy Note 5 would be two months away from getting an official announcement. However for a long time now we have been hearing that the Galaxy Note 5 will be released earlier than normal and it turns out that these rumors are true. Sources have revealed that the Galaxy Note 5 will be released on August 12th and will be up for sale around 2 weeks later on August 21st.
Apart from the Galaxy Note 5 we have also been informed that the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will now be launched as the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and will also be announced alongside the Galaxy Note 5. Apart from the launch of these two big devices the South Korean company will also be launching Samsung Pay the company’s mobile payment service.
Coming to the Galaxy Note 5, this phablet will not be having a microSD card slot and in terms of its design the device will basically be a blown-up version of the Galaxy S6. However just like the Galaxy A8, the Galaxy Note 5 will also have an extremely thin screen bezel.
The S Pen will also be experiencing a few new changes. According to sources the stylus will look more like a pen this time around and will be having the same color as the device itself. Moreover the Galaxy Note 5 will be available in silver, gold, black and white options.
Now coming to the Galaxy S6 Edge+ there is not much to explain as the device is basically a phablet version of the Galaxy S6 Edge but will have a curve on both sides of the screen. The color options for this device are same as for the Galaxy Note 5. However the device will be powered by Exynos 7420 instead of a Snapdragon 808.
