The South Korean giant has introduced the industry’s first ever Mirror and Transparent OLED display panels in a dazzling state of the art showcase for personalized shopping browsing which was held this week in Honk Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.
This exhibit featured the first retail use of these advanced commercial OLED panels. The new Samsung Display OLED panel technology basically provides a digital viewing platform for making the consumer purchasing experience more visually engaging.
When combined with the Intel technology it takes human computer interaction to the next level of visualization which combines consumer grade 3D cameras with an easy to use automated library of stored perceptions to simplify camera enhancement efforts of software developers.
Apart from this the new Samsung Mirror Display may in the future even replace home mirrors and provide digital information services to sophisticated consumers in the same space where these consumers have a traditional mirror.
The Samsung Display Mirror OLED display panel has more than 75 percent reflectance level and is capable of delivering 50 percent higher reflectance than competitive Mirror LCDs which are now in limited availability.
Apart from this the new OLED display also has improved color gamut as well as an extremely high contrast ratio and a much faster response time compared to LCD transparent panels.
Much like the Samsung Mirror Display, the new Samsung Transparent Display will also visually accentuate the gesture and voice control of Real Sense 3D rotatable viewing systems.
All these new features will basically enhance consumer facing displays in car dealerships and other innovative signage applications in public information.
When compared to traditional LCD alternatives for today’s digital signage market, Samsung Display’s Full HD Transparent OLED display panel has a much higher color gamut along with increased transmittance and better clarity through a wider range of viewing angles.
