Samsung has officially announced the latest Galaxy Tab E, at a press conference, recently. The Galaxy Tab E is a budgetary tablet device, targeted on the low-end tablet market. It is available at a highly affordable price, but does not offer any extraordinary features, as well. Currently, the device has been introduced in Taiwan only. However, it is supposed to debut around the world within a short period of time.

The Galaxy Tab E boasts a 9.6-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen at a resolution of 800 x 1280, adding up to ___ pixels per inch. The device measures 8.5mm in thickness, and weighs around 490g. One of the biggest drawbacks of this device is that it comes with Android KitKat, instead of Android Lollipop.

However, we hope that Samsung will release the lollipop updates for this device some time later, this year. The Galaxy Tab E is equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core and packs 1.5GB of RAM to offer a viable user experience. The device comes with 8GB of internal storage, with a MicroSD card slot. Additionally, The Galaxy Tab E is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery that is non-removable. Considering the specifications of the device, the battery will provide a decent endurance time.

The current model, SM-T560, of Galaxy Tab E only offers Wi-Fi connectivity; however, Samsung will be announcing another model SM-T561 in the near future, which will also offer cellular and 3G-connectivity. The Galaxy Tab E also comes pre-installed with Microsoft Office app suite. It is available at a budget-friendly price of $225 at Taiwan. Overall, the Galaxy Tab E provides a decent performance at a budget-friendly price.
