Looks like Samsung is losing its grip on China. They came 4th when it came to sales in the Chinese market. There have been many emerging Chinese brands that have rapidly improved their devices.
Plus the Apple devices are now more appreciated in China. According to Strategy Analytics, Xiaomi have sold 14million units in the first quarter and had a market share of 12.8 percent.
Xiaomi have maintained their status in the market for three full quarters now. Their market share decreased this time around from 15.7 percent to 12.8 percent.
Apple sold 13.5 million devices in the first quarter and they had a market share of 12.3 percent. Huawei came in the second place and they sold 11.2 million units and had a market share of 10.2 percent.
Samsung came in the 4th place. They had a market share of almost 10 percent. The main reason of their demise is because of the high range of their device prices.
