Many people who want to upgrade from the Samsung Galaxy S5 to the Galaxy S6 but fear that they will lose the waterproof feature.
Well now these people don’t have to worry about that anymore because the PeripateticPandas YouTube page, which is renowned for its videos on various smartphone hacks, have basically come up with a DIY solution to waterproofing your own device.
In the video we can see that the Galaxy S6 is submerged in silicone and left for 24 hours to harden. The S6 is seen sandwiched in the gel with a thinner layer on top in order for the users to access the touchscreen afterward. However this means that users will have to forgo access to the USB and SIM card slots and even the headphone jack.
Apart from these hindrances users will also need to depend on the wireless charging feature and accept that the camera will become useless after so much silicone is applied. So it seems that getting your S6 waterproof is not worth it at all.
