It seems that Samsung is getting more serious about its new found OS Tizen and the company intends to carry out more developments. The South Korean company has been regularly updating its Z1 device in India and Bangladesh but now a new update has been rolled put.
The new update was provided this week and it marks a new era for Tizen and the Z1. The over-the-air (OTA) update comes in a tiny 16.1MB and also brings Samsung’s first Tizen powered smartphone.
Apart from this the new update has not brought any new or major change. However the incremental update should keep Samsung’s first smartphone in its new OS running fast and smooth.
Samsung has introduced this new update at a time when the company has rolled out the Tizen store globally. Now Tizen has been added to 182 new countries such as Netherlands, US, UK, Russia, Australia, France, Serbia, Malaysia, Thailand, South Africa, Croatia, UAE and many others.
Even though now the global Z1 users can access the Tizen store and free apps they still cannot access the paid apps currently.
Even though the Tizen needs more progress it is good to see that Samsung is at least prepping its Tizen store for a global rollout. This also shows that the company wants to roll out its Tizen powered devices worldwide in the near future.
Rumors are that Samsung will be introducing a global Z2 or some other mid ranged device with some superb specifications.
