Due to more and more people becoming a part of social networking websites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram, capturing and sharing photographs has become a fashion, nowadays. Users are requiring more user-friendly and realistic photographic features incorporated right into the cameras of their smartphones. Samsung’s new flagship smartphones, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge, provide users with an exceptional photographic experience like never before on a smartphone.
At the Unpacked event, Samsung also stated that, “The key challenge is creating a camera that excels in all lighting conditions”. Samsung has greatly enhanced the imaging qualities of front-facing cameras and rear cameras in Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge. Samsung has reworked the camera experience and has greatly improved the quality of images captured in low-light, videos, and the selfies with a larger front-facing sensor, and greatly enhanced beauty mode.
Samsung has upgraded the front-facing cameras of its latest flagship smartphones, to meet the consumer needs. The new Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge, sport a 5 Megapixel front-facing camera aided by a CMOS camera sensor that is 40% larger than that in Galaxy S5, enabling the front camera to capture wide-angle photos.
The front camera in Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge also features an F/1.9 aperture lens to improve the image quality, making it more similar to the vision of a human eye. Additionally, the front-facing camera is also capable of capturing images in HDR mode in real-time, instantly, which eliminates the need of selecting HDR mode every time you capture images. Samsung has also improved the picture quality in low-lighting conditions through image stacking. Samsung also claims that the images will be 60% brighter and 43% less noisy than the Galaxy S5.
