but Why would apple make an app for the android platform?

Well because there is plenty of money in it. Apple has the firepower to launch a new service and sustain for a long time even if the service fails. Reports claim that this apple music app for android is nearing its completion and might soon be available on your galaxy devices.

Apple pay is entering a market where it will face severe competition from other blockbuster services such as Spotify and google play music. Similar to the rival subscription plans, apple music will cost you $10 a month and $15 if you subscribe for a family plan where up to six members of your family can listen to the music on the apple music.
