Samsung has unveiled its mid ranged metal phones for this year and I must say that they look beautiful for a Samsung phone. All the phones look similar except for their screen size and that’s not a bad thing. Let’s take a look at the specifications and features for this year’s galaxy A series phones.
The first thing that you will notice in these phones is their design. Samsung has made use of the glass and metal design seen in the high end phones such as the note 5 and galaxy s6. But there is some difference here. The screen virtually has no borders making the phones look pretty high end.
The A3 has a 720p 4.7-inch screen while the A5 and the A7 have full HD 5.2 and 5.5-inch screen. Samsung has made use of the excellent AMOLED displays that are better than the traditional LCD display in most aspects. The camera has also been upgraded to 13 MP camera that has the optical image stabilization for excellent pictures. Samsung also promises better low light picture with this camera.
The surprising thing is that the A5 and A7 phones support Samsung pay. Samsung earlier said that it would bring its mobile payment service to low end and mid ranged phones. This move is a result of that commitment. There is 1.5, 2, 3 GB of ram in the A3, A5 and A7 respectively.
All the phones support the secure communication suite, Samsung Knox for business and military personnel’s carrying sensitive data.
With all these features and devices, Samsung is training its guns on xaomi and Huawei who have been slowly eating into its sales.
“At Samsung, we are committed to continued innovation, inspired by the feedback and needs of our wide range of consumers,” said JK Shin, CEO and Head of Samsung’s IT & Mobile Business.
He added, “With the introduction of the Galaxy A (2016), we took the consumer feedback on our original Galaxy A models and made thoughtful and impactful improvements offering consumers a seamless convergence of style and performance for their everyday lifestyles.”
