Due to the accidents that Note 7 caused, the device was recalled by the company itself. It also suffered many updates which limited the devices charging to some certain percent of the battery’s capacity. The company even made an investigation about the device, and concluded that it was the battery’s fault about the devices failure. Also, after they recalled the device, 97 percent of the units in South Korea were retrieved to the company. Now, as their next move, they will completely disable the device from charging in an upcoming update.
Later this month, the Note 7 will receive an update which will disable the device from charging. If any of the users want still to use their device, they will have to put their Note 7 on the charting all the time.
Similar update like this was already released in the markets of the US. Also, many different methods were adopted in several countries to shut off the mobile network access of the device.
