Samsung Electronics has now expanded its presence in Silicon Valley which is home to many of the South Korean technology giant’s closest partners and even some of its fiercest rivals. The company is nearly finished building its new $300 million facility in San Jose, California.
The new facility of Samsung will be a giant 10 story complex with 1.1 million square feet of floor space and it also includes a clean room for semiconductors and a fitness center in the sky.
This new Samsung facility is said to be shared between semiconductor research and development and other sales and marketing functions. The new site will be Samsung’s biggest and most prominent building in Silicon Valley and the North America headquarters for its semiconductor operations.
The architecture firm that is behind this project stated that the work at the site is 85 percent complete with most of the remaining tasks related to interiors and landscaping.
