Samsung Pay has been announced at the Mobile World Congress 2015. And it was expected that Samsung will launch its new payments service in September 2015 initially in South Korea and the United States. However, this scenario has changed now after the earlier launch of Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note 5.
Samsung has announced that it will debut its news payment service later this month in one of the two initial launch markets. Samsung will launch Samsung Pay in South Korea and the United States first. And later on, Samsung will expand it to European markets and also in China later this year.
But now Samsung Pay is going to debut in South Korea first on August 20. Following the Korean launch, Samsung will debut its mobile payment service in the United States on September 28. However, Samsung will offer beta testing option to select users in the United States starting from August 25th.
Samsung will actually push a software update before the launch of Samsung Pay. Samsung will do so to get this new mobile payment feature enabled on supported devices. The device that will support Samsung Pay include Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note 5.
