While the iOS device users still write wireless charging feature on their wish list, Samsung is setting out to reinvent the way we charge our devices wirelessly. It has reportedly filed a patent application for a device that is nothing like the existing wireless chargers but still is capable of charging multiple devices at once.
The new charger sits in the loop of a smartwatch while on the flat top of it rests a smartphone. Both The devices can recharge themselves at the same time. But that is not the end of it. Samsung has actually filed for three different types of charger each having its own use.
The reporting website mentioned that the electronics and wearables “will be able to charge a camera, wearable device, necklace, electronic glasses, head-mounted-device, smartwatch, electronic tattoos, smartphones, and tablets.”
Another speculation is that this charger will be the official wireless charger for the Note 7 smartphone and will be bundled as an inbox accessory. The Note 7 is shaping up as the most important phone for Samsung this year. it will allegedly have an increased price tag of $800. But you get a lot more for that extra $50. A curved screen, 64 GB of default storage and a wireless charger.
Some reports also indicate that Samsung could give the new Gear VR headset for free making it a hell of a bargain.
