Samsung is the world’s leading and best-selling smartphone manufacturer. After the release of Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S5, people all over the world are waiting anxiously for the release of Samsung’s next flagship smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S6. Samsung will announce this new smartphone on 1st March, 2015 at MWC in Barcelona. Rumors abound that it will be released on 22nd March in Europe and later on in other countries.
As far as the specifications of this upcoming flagship smartphone from Samsung are concerned, they are very decent and performance-oriented. It boasts a 5.0 inch Super AMOLED Capacitive touchscreen and has a pixel resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels which amounts to almost 587 pixels per inch. It runs on a processor of Quad-Core 1.3Ghz Cortex-A53 and Quad-Core 1.9GHz Cortex-A57. It has a 3GB RAM, which takes the sloppiness and slow performance out of the scene, and 32GB of internal memory. It is able to record your moments with a 20MP Camera featuring autofocus and LED Flash in it, while a front camera of 5MP is also there for you to take selfies.
As we know, battery life is the only problem smartphones face nowadays. We have come to know that Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone is powered by a 2600mAh battery, which is non-removable and sealed inside. We have been sent a fresh picture from a Chinese Battery Factory by a reliable source of ours, recently, confirming the rumors about the battery capacity. It can be clearly seen that it is labeled as 2600mAh, and the model number of battery is marked as EB-BG925ABE which clearly relates to the speculated codename of Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge which is SM-925X.
So we can deduce from this that there is a big possibility that these are to be placed inside the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. We can also see that there is a production date of 2/11 which means that they are freshly manufactured from the factory, so, this might be the battery included in these phones.
These rumors have led to a turn down among many Samsung fans, as the battery capacity is even less that its predecessor, Samsung Galaxy S5, but it will be compensated by a smaller chipset of 14nm contained in Samsung Galaxy S6, which is 30-35% more efficient, as compared to the chipset of Samsung Galaxy S5. Samsung has also stated that battery life will burn more juice and charge faster due to Software optimizations in TouchWiz and other Hardware Optimizations. Moreover, there are also some rumors that Samsung is using a new type of Polymer technology in its batteries to make them last longer.
So, the optimizations and the integration of new technology in the Samsung Galaxy S6 will hopefully compensate for less battery capacity, and make it last longer. The new Galaxy S6 also features a rapid charging wireless capability. Hence, there is no reason to worry about the phone’s battery endurance, yet. It will surely be better than that of the Samsung Galaxy S5.
