Samsung Galaxy Mega successor with model name Galaxy Mega 2 is spotted at GFXBench database. Like the original Galaxy Mega, the new phone will feature a huge display measuring 5.9 inch.
Usually benchmarking websites mention the model number of the phones rather than real names, but in this case the benchmark title was “3D Graphics Performance of Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 (SM-G7508)”. So it is almost correct to say that the benchmarking results are from the new Galaxy Mega 2 smartphone.
Galaxy Mega 2 will feature a 5.9 inch, 720p HD display. Other hardware specification includes a Qualcomm quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and will be accompanied by 2GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage, and a 12MP rear-facing camera. The front camera will be a 4.7MP affair that will be capable of capturing video in Full HD. Other than that it will come with standard hardware like an accelerometer, gyroscope, GPS, NFC, WiFi, Bluetooth.
There is no official word from Samsung about the existence of Galaxy Mega 2 and whether there will be two variants of the phone like the original Galaxy Mega, which came in 5.8 inch and 6.3 inch.
