US consumers will be quite happy as today Cricket Wireless launched a new Samsung smartphone that is quite affordable, the Galaxy Grand Prime.
This is not a new Samsung device and has been in the Asian market since last year. Customers will be able to buy the Samsung Grand prime from Cricket Wireless for just $179.99 and no contract is required.
This new smartphone by Samsung features LTE connectivity, an 8MP rear camera with a LED flash and a 5MP wide angle lens front-facing camera. The Galaxy Grand Prime also comes along with a 5 inch 540 x 960 pixels display and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor.
The smartphone also has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of expandable internal memory. The Galaxy Grand Prime also has a 2600 mAh battery under its hood. However the smartphone runs the Android 4.4 KitKat and when will it receive the Lollipop update is still unknown.
