The discontinuation of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge 128GB model in India comes after Samsung had reduced the price of these two devices by Rs. 8000 and Rs. 9000 simultaneously.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge were launched in the Indian market in April. Both these devices do not support the MicroSD card slot and that is why the South Korean giant had introduced the 128GB model.
However it now seems that the 128GB model of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have been discontinued from the Indian market due to overpricing. Both these smartphones with 128GB capacity are no longer listed on the company’s official eStore.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 128GB had been launched in India for Rs. 61,900 while the Galaxy S6 Edge was launched at Rs. 70,900. Due to these high prices Samsung has decided to discontinue the 128GB model of these devices from India.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge features a 5.1 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED Display at 577ppi. Plus the device comes along with dual edged screen on both sides and is powered by a 64 bit Exynos Octa-core Processor with 3GB of RAM.
Moreover the device comes along with a 16MP rear camera with LED flash. There is also a 5MP front camera.
The connectivity options of the device include 4G LTE, GPRS/EDGE, 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB and NFC. Beneath the hood the device sports a 2600 mAh battery. The Galaxy S6 Edge also runs the latest Android 5.0.1 Lollipop.
