Well the Apple Watch has caught the eye of many but competitors such as the Moto 360 still continue to challenge. Although internally the Apple Watch is truly an engineering challenge for the most part.

Today information has been revealed about the valuable information this Apple Watch has and even the next one that has to come.

A teardown of the Apple Watch reveals many details of Apple’s S1 chip. Well we have to give credit to Apple for fitting the entire motherboard with all of its 30 individual components and then package it in a compound containing silica or alumina spheres in a resin is truly a work of art.

Now many of you will be thinking that this isn’t something new but to fit this all in a 26 mm x 28 mm package is very unique.

However what we are upset about is that the APL0788 application processor (CPU/GPU) follows Samsung’s 28 nanometer LP process.

This is something which is getting obsolete now as devices like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are using the newer 20nm process.

This basically means that there is a lot of room for improvement and maybe Apple does improve with the future S2 chip of the Apple Watch 2.

Apart from this models like the iPhone 5s followed the 28nm process, so you can see that there is a lot of room for improvement.
