The Galaxy S7 Edge also has a beautiful 5.5-inch display that was advanced for its time. But the Note 7 5.7 inch Qhd screen managed to improve that in almost every area to produce the most stunning screen, ever. Thanks to the super AMOLED technology and high-end features such as mobile HDR, the screen stands on top of every other display that is used in smartphones.
Note 7 has a maximum brightness of 1000 nits that allows clear visibility even in direct sunlight. But the reflectance measure is at 4.6%. lowest in any smartphone. A killer combination.
But the conclusion wasn’t arrived by performing some complex test. Common factors such as color gamut, screen quality, image reproduction, text readability and graphic appearance have also been carefully observed.
“Almost every display lab test and measurement shows some improvements compared to the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S7,” Soneira, head of the testing company noted.
“The Galaxy Note 7 provides many major and important state-of-the-art display enhancements, with mobile OLED display technology now advancing faster than ever,” DisplayMate said. “The Galaxy Note 7 is the most innovative and high-performance smartphone display that we have ever tested. Since the Note series generally leads in display technology, the Note 7 should really have been called the Note 8 so that its name will be in better sync with the future Galaxy S8.”
