It seems that the Korean brands Samsung and LG are the top 2 most trusted brands in India only to be followed by Sony, India’s own Tata and Nokia according to The Brand Trust Report, India Study 2015. This is a huge step forward by Samsung which was ranked at the 379th position in The Brand Trust Report last year, with LG ranked at fourth.
This year’s survey has been conducted among 2373 respondents across 16 cities of India. TRA which was formerly Trust Research Advisory, a Comniscient Group Company issues this report annually. The CEO of TRA Chandramouli stated that the Korean firms Samsung and LG Mobiles have worked very hard in order to become the top trusted companies in a short period of 10 to 12 years. He further stated that these companies had come to India with products suiting the Indian market and thus have earned trust of the Indian customers.
The 20 most trusted companies which have improved their ranking over the last year include Samsung Mobiles, Bajaj, Honda, Bata, Amul, Dell, Godrej, Airtel, Dabur and Apple. Moreover the top 20 most trusted companies that have fallen in the rankings include Sony, Reliance, Tata, Hewlett-Packard, Maruti Suzuki, Hero MotoCorp, LIC and Phillips. Nokia was the only company that was able to retain its position at fifth position.
