A new rumor suggests that Samsung is working on a new variant of Galaxy Note 4 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. Samsung currently offers Galaxy Note 4 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 and Samsung’s own Exynos 7 Octa.
Snapdragon 810 is Qualcomm’s latest flagship mobile processor, which will power majority of next year’s high-end smartphones. The processor was announced in April this year. The new processor offers Category 6 LTE with Carrier Aggregation and supports data speed of 300 Mbps.
Sammobile reports that Samsung is testing a new variant of Galaxy Note 4 with Snapdragon 810, possible for South Korean operators. At this moment very few operators around the world supports Cat 6 LTE. So it is not clear if this new Galaxy Note 4 vaiant will ever come to other markets.
There have been some reports recently that Snapdragon 810 has a serious heating issue, but Qualcomm already downplayed those rumors. So everything goes fine we will see a new Galaxy Note 4 at the beginning of 2015.
