Samsung has its hands full with updates and beta tests of the new Android 7.0 Nougat. Currently it’s under development for several Galaxy devices such as the Note 5, S6 Edge, S6, S7, S7 Edge. Now, Samsung is releasing the second beta build for Android 7.0. It was officially released couple of days ago, and this time it includes the OS update for the 2015 flagship Galaxy S6.

This was confirmed by benchmarks on Geekbench and GFXBench where the Galaxy S6 was seen with the new Android 7.0 Nougat firmware.

The new platform should bring some new improvements in user interface including finger reader gestures, multi-window support, night light and VR mode for the Gear VR headset.

Worth to note is that this Android 7.0 powered Galaxy S6 is the Exynos variant. The specs are still the same and only the OS is changed.

Now, we can sleep a little more comfortably, knowing that Nougat is almost ready.
