Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus might snatch the Android 7.1

Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus might snatch the Android 7.1At the beginning, when Samsung shipped their Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus devices with Android 7.0, was very confusing. When they got launched, the Android 7.1 was already released, and the S8 and S8 plus were keeping the 7.0 instead. We already thought that the newest flagship devices will snatch the newest Android, but it didn’t turn out so.

It is not that the newest Android OS will bring much to the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. With it, the devices will get new features, such as new emoji, launcher actions for the Pixel launcher, and other mini tweaks. The emojis and the launcher won’t matter that much to the Galaxy S8 users, since Samsung is using their own versions on both of the devices.

Anyway, the Android 7.1 might be rolling out soon for the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. According to a leak from Vodafone Australia, the devices will receive a firmware update, which will bring the Android 7.1.

Also, as the carrier says, the update will bring more stability and bug fixes, so the users cannot expect many new features. Having this update already rolling out on the devices in Australia, it’s only a matter of time when it becomes worldwide update.
