In meantime, alongside with the release of the January security patch of the S5, now it also comes for Galaxy S6. With the version number XXU5DQAG, it brings security updates for the Galaxy S6 and it’s been rolled out for first time in Europe.
The security update features fixes for the 67 Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) for the underlying Android operating systems. It also includes 28 patches that represents exclusive releases for the Samsung’s software.
Taking as a consideration, following this release for the Galaxy S6, we can only expect such update to be released for the Galaxy S6 edge as well. It may also come very soon and fast, but also keep it in mind that it’s only been rolled out for some unlocked variants. This patch was also released for the Galaxy S6 edge+ last week.
