In the past week or so, there was a lot of rumors and news all over the internet about possible acquisition of BlackBerry by Samsung. This was the main headline all over the internet. This topic was being discussed on almost all the tech blogs and even international news agencies reported this news. Everyone around the world thought that the rumors were true because Samsung had the capability to pay a huge sum of $7.5 Billion for a company like BlackBerry and expand its business.
But a few days back, Samsung and BlackBerry officials gave separate press releases in which they stated that there was no intention of acquiring Blackberry by Samsung. All the news had been spread after a deal which Samsung made to get some help from BlackBerry to make its systems more secure.
Well after the statements by executives from both companies, many people think that Samsung could still buy BlackBerry. Because a Canadian newspaper has claimed that a high ranking Samsung official has seen the documents regarding the BlackBerry acquisition. The documents were prepared by Evercon Partners, a New-York based investment bank; these documents were prepared somewhere in the last quarter of 2014. No one knows if they are genuine or not. So for now, we just need to wait and see what the faith of BlackBerry and Samsung union is.
